Carlos Alicea

Carlos Alicea

Carlos was a member of the TAN Lab from Summer 2023 – Fall 2023. During his time in the lab, he facilitated behavioral testing sessions for participants in the CLEAR and Dual-Task studies. Additionally, he assisted in language transcriptions across studies, using TalkBank’s CHAT and CLAN programs. Carlos received his M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Northeastern in May 2024, and is currently completing his clinical fellowship in the acute care setting in Advent Health in Orlando, Florida.
Esprit-Ange Andraos

Esprit-Ange Andraos

Esprit-Ange was a member of the TAN Lab from Summer 2023 to Summer 2024. During her time in the lab, she played an integral role in fNIRS data capture, fMRI testing, behavioral testing, and data analysis across several studies. Before moving to Boston, Esprit was a practicing speech-language pathologist in her home country, Lebanon. She earned her M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Northeastern University in May 2024. She is passionate about improving the lives of individuals living with voice and speech disorders through both clinical services and research.

Grace Haskell

Grace Haskell

Grace was a member of the TAN Lab from Summer 2022 to Summer 2024. During her time in the lab, she was the lead scheduler and behavioral tester for the Dual Task pilot study. She also contributed to analyses for the Dual Task pilot study and EMA smartwatch pilot study. She received her M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Northeastern in 2024 and is hoping to complete her clinical fellowship in a private practice setting.

Hai-Dinh Phan

Hai-Dinh was a member of the TAN Lab from Summer 2021 to Spring 2024. During her time in the lab, she contributed to recruitment, behavioral testing, data collection, and analysis for the EMA smartwatch pilot study. She also contributed to behavioral testing for the Dual-Task study. Hai-Dinh received her B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Northeastern in 2024, and will be pursuing her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology at Boston University this upcoming Fall of 2024.

Lauren Rauert

Lauren was a member of the TAN Lab from Spring 2023 – Summer 2024. During her time in the lab, she helped facilitate behavioral testing sessions for participants in the CLEAR, Dual-Task, and smartwatch pilot studies. Additionally, she developed a language transcription protocol for the lab, using TalkBank’s CHAT and CLAN programs. Lauren received her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Northeastern in May 2024, and is currently completing her clinical fellowship at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia.

Lily White

Lily White

Lily White was a member of the TAN Lab from Spring 2023 to Spring 2024. During her time in the lab, she helped start a project called Naming in Noise. This fNIRS experiment, part of the ongoing CLEAR study, measures the impact of different types of background noise on naming in older adults with and without aphasia. Specifically, Lily helped create the task on the Psychopy program, assisted with running participant sessions, analyzed data, and presented on preliminary findings at the RISE undergraduate research expo as a PEAK awardee. In addition to her work on Naming in Noise, Lily employed the Python coding language to troubleshoot issues in the PsychoPy program for the EMA word retrieval study involving people with post-stroke aphasia. Lily earned her B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, with a minor in Psychology, from Northeastern University. Currently, she is a doctoral student in audiology (AuD) at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Her career goal is to work clinically with pediatric cochlear implant patients.
